Head coach of the Black Galaxies, Mas-Ud Dramani has stated that his outfit is very clear about what is at stake this weekend when Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team that is made up of only Ghana based players, take on Nigeria.

The Galaxies take on Nigeria in the first of a two legged CHAN qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium at 16:00 GMT and the team has been in camp preparing seriously for the important clash.

The winner of the qualifiers progress to compete in next year’s CHAN that is to be held in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Ghana is aiming to make back to back appearances at the continental championship for the first time since doing so in the 2011 and 2014 editions.

“We tried as much as possible to put in place a culture that will have us respect one another devoid of where you are coming from and also to appreciate that you are the best quality in the country…so everybody knows a clear purpose of what is at stake and this was meant for both the technical staff and the playing body.”

Ghana hasn’t won the CHAN but has featured in the finals in 2009 and 2014.
