Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, has stated that the football body single handedly foot the bill for compensating Milovan Rajevac following his dismissal from his role as Black Stars head coach.

He said this is in an interview with Joy FM as the future of Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is up in the air after the German born tactician oversaw a terrible 2025 AFCON campaign where the Black Stars failed to win a game in six outings.

Ghana finished bottom in Group F and failed to qualify to the AFCON for the first time in 20 years with the Black Stars set to miss out on competing in next year’s tournament in Morocco.

“When Milo [Milovan Rajevac] was fired, it became an issue because he didn’t have time to waste, so he went to FIFA. FIFA ruled in Milo’s favour, and we had to pay over $100,000. It was about $117,000 or so. Despite several pleas, the Ministry wasn’t forthcoming, so the FA had to settle the amount.”

GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum was named in the petition as a “related party” in the breaches of conflicts of interest

Rajevac coached Ghana at the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon but got sacked after the tournament that had the Black Stars eliminated at the group stage after picking up just a point while losing to lowly ranked Comoros.
