Ghana Esports Federation congratulates President-Elect Mahama, pledges support for Digital Sports Development”

The Ghana Esports Federation (GESF) has extended warm congratulations to H.E. John Dramani Mahama on his victory in the recent presidential elections. In a statement addressed to the President-elect, GESF highlighted his election as a testament to the confidence and trust the Ghanaian people have in his leadership.

The Federation emphasized Mahama’s commitment to youth empowerment and digital innovation, citing his vision as pivotal to positioning Ghana as a leader in esports within Africa. Esports, an emerging and fast-growing industry, holds immense potential for youth engagement and technological advancement.

Esports as a Tool for Growth

GESF acknowledged Mahama’s track record of inclusivity, modernization, and national development, expressing optimism about future policies to nurture young talent in digital sports.

The Federation emphasized that under Mahama’s administration, esports can evolve into a key industry, supporting the broader goals of economic growth, technological advancement, and youth development.

The statement also reaffirmed GESF’s commitment to partnering with the government to advance esports initiatives.

By fostering creativity, innovation, and excellence, the Federation aims to unlock the potential of Ghanaian youth and cement Ghana’s reputation as a hub for esports on the continent.

As Ghana continues to explore opportunities in the digital age, Mahama’s leadership is expected to be instrumental in bridging the gap between traditional sports and the growing esports ecosystem.

The Federation remains optimistic about creating avenues for participation, innovation, and growth in this dynamic field.

The Ghana Esports Federation concluded its message with a pledge to support Mahama’s administration in realizing shared goals for an empowered and digitally inclusive Ghana.
