Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum believes his team can still score goals and get wins even in the absence of top striker Albert Amoah.

He said this in a post-game interview after Kotoko beat Dreams FC 2-1 in the Ghana Premier League at the Tuba Astro Turf.

Two first half goals from Saaka Dauda and Baba Yahaya in the 40th and 43rd minute respectively clinched Kotoko’s second straight win. Joseph Esso scored the consolation goal for Dreams in the 57th minute.

However, Kotoko got the win without in-form striker Albert Amoah who is on national duties with the Black Galaxies.

Amoah has seven goals in 12 games and is set to play against Nigeria in the first of a two legged CHAN qualifier on Sunday, December 22 at the Accra Sports Stadium at 16:00 GMT.

“We kept our structure and we made them understand that Albert is a very good player, we know he’s been scoring the goals and in his absence, we can still score and indeed in his absence, we’ve been able to score so I am happy for the players.”
