Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, is calling for his team to focus on what they can do and not focus on its upcoming opponent.

He said this in his pre-game presser ahead of Kotoko’s big clash against rivals Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday, December 15 at the Baba Yara Stadium at 15:00 GMT.

Kotoko head into the super clash ranked seventh in the 18 team league standings just behind Hearts who rank sixth. The Porcupine Warriors have just a win in five league games ahead of this weekend’s clash.

Despite Kotoko’s shaky form, Dr. Ogum believes that his side can’t overly focus on the threat of Hearts of Oak in its preparations for Sunday.

“The focus should be us. Sometimes when you focus too much on the (opponent), you forget about yourself and it goes to affect you. Ours is to make sure that we get our tactics right, we get our confidence, get our confidence right, our determination, our aggression, everything right and then face them.”
