Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of experienced forward Sampson Eduku on a one-and-a-half-year deal, following the successful completion of his medical examination.

According to the Porcupine Warriors, the 29-year-old striker brings a wealth of experience to the Club, having previously played for Samartex and Tamale City.

Eduku was in sensational form during the 2022/23 season with Tamale City, scoring 14 goals and providing 4 assists.

His stellar performances earned him a move to Iraqi Premier League side Al Quwa Al Jawiya, where he continued to showcase his goal-scoring abilities.

Head Coach of the Club, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum welcomed the new signing, he said:

“Sampson is a proven goal scorer with exceptional versatility and experience. His knack for finding the back of the net and creating chances for his teammates will add a fresh dimension to our attack. We’re excited to have him on board and believe he’ll make an immediate impact.”

Eduku also shared his excitement about joining the club, stating:

“It’s an incredible feeling to join a club as prestigious as Kotoko. This is a major step in my career, and I understand the expectations that come with wearing this jersey. I’m here to work hard, score goals, and help the team achieve its objectives.

Competing with top players like Albert Amoah and Kwame Opoku will push me to improve even further. I relish the challenge and am ready to give my all for this great club.”
