Coventry City Football Club head coach, Frank Lampard, has described Ghana forward Brandon Solomon Thomas-Asante’s goal against Bristol City as “deserved”.

The Black Stars player’s second goal in the EFL Championship 2024-2025 season gave Coventry City a 1-0 win over Bristol in the 62nd minute.

Receiving a pass from Jack Rudoni, the former West Bromwich Albion player inside the penalty box, Thomas-Asante raced to meet the pass before rifling a shot into the top left corner of the post and in his post-game interview, Frank Lampard stated that Thomas-Asante’s goal was a deserved one.

“He didn’t play so many minutes, especially in his favoured position when I first got here because we’ve got some competition there, but his work ethic since he’s come in has been good and his all-round game has been good.”

“That last bit has been missing but you have to work towards that, and he deserved that today.

Norman Bassette replaced Thomas-Asante in the 88th minute. Scroll down to watch Thomas-Asante’s strike against Bristol City.
