Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo spoke glowingly about his brilliant goal against Chelsea in the 2024-2025 English Premier League season at Stamford Bridge.
Semenyo’s goal put Bournemouth up 2-1 against Chelsea but a late Reece James goal had the game end 2-2 in what turned out to be The Cherries seventh draw 21 games into the season.
In a post-game interview, Semenyo rued another missed opportunity from a winning position for Bournemouth but had a positive outlook on his goal.
“Ryan Christie got the ball and I know from where I was positioned what I wanted to do as soon as I got the ball I knew how I wanted to shift and strike and I’m really happy with the finish. Obviously a goal in the Premier League is nice” he said.

Semenyo is closing in on improving on his eight goal mark he set in the 2023-2024 season which was his first full season with Bournemouth after moving from Bristol City midway through the 2022-2023 season.
