Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Okraku, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Mr. John Ansah on his election as the new Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) for the next four years.

The GFA President described Ansah’s victory as a testament to his remarkable leadership, dedication, and the trust placed in him by the football fraternity.

The historic election also saw Ms. Phylis Marku Moncar become the first female vice-chairperson in GHALCA’s history. Her achievement represents a significant step forward in promoting gender inclusivity in Ghanaian football. Okraku lauded this milestone, emphasizing its importance in fostering a culture of diversity within the sport.

In his congratulatory message, Kurt Okraku acknowledged the newly elected Executive Council members for their accomplishment, expressing confidence in their ability to lead with integrity and vision. He highlighted the importance of collaboration between GHALCA and the GFA, emphasizing that their combined efforts would create a positive and sustainable impact on Ghanaian football.

“Your victories are a testament to a remarkable dedication, leadership, and the trust your colleagues have placed in your abilities.

This new chapter signifies an exciting journey ahead, and I have no doubt that the new leadership will continue to inspire and guide the club’s welfare body.

As you step into these new roles, may you lead with integrity and vision, fostering innovation and growth in the forward march of GHALCA in particular, and Ghana Football in general.”

Okraku also commended the unsuccessful candidates, including Mr. Isaac Wilberforce Koomson and Nana Amankwah Kwakye, for their courage and dedication.

I also want to take a moment to acknowledge Mr. Isaac Wilberforce Koomson, Nana Amankwah Kwakye, and the other unsuccessful candidates for your incredible efforts and dedication to GHALCA.

While the outcome may not have been what you hoped for, your courage, passion, and commitment to serving are truly commendable.

Looking ahead, Okraku urged GHALCA’s leadership to foster innovation and inclusivity while working closely with the GFA to achieve shared goals. He emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration.

As you begin this exciting journey of leadership, I am confident that GHALCA will work closely with the Ghana Football Association in unity, combining diverse talents, perspectives, and ideas into a shared vision.

Together, we have the power to create a positive change and foster a culture of inclusiveness, innovation, and progress.

I am confident that by standing shoulder to shoulder, GHALCA and the GFA will pave the way for success and make a lasting impact.

Under John Ansah’s leadership, GHALCA is expected to address key issues facing football clubs, enhance club welfare, and strengthen the organization’s role as a crucial stakeholder in Ghana football.
