Minister of Youth and Sports Designate, Kofi Iddie Adams, has called for more stakeholders to be brought on board to address funding challenges in the sports space.
He said this in an interview after making an appearance at the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Elections held on January 23.
Honourable Adams was nominated as the Sports Minister Designate by Ghana President John Mahama at a time Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team-the Black Stars- have failed to qualify to the 2025 AFCON.
Funding has been a major challenge to sports development in Ghana and according to the Sports Minister Designate, more stakeholders need to be roped in.
“We need to bring back the love and I believe one of the challenging parts of our sports has been funding so we must all sit down and have a discussion and let’s see how we can sort this problem out and if we can regenerate the love, many more persons maybe willing to also come on board to help us deal with the funding challenge.”

Honourable Kofi Adams is expected to be vetted in the coming days.
