Justin Kluivert has been voted the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for January 2025, winning the award for the first time.
Kluivert produced five goals and two assists in his four appearances. His seven goal involvements in January were the joint-most of all players in the Premier League, as he helped to maintain AFC Bournemouth’s pursuit of a European spot with three wins and a draw from four matches.
The 25-year-old scored an equalising penalty in a draw at Chelsea before scoring a hat-trick and assisting Bournemouth’s other goal in a 4-1 win away to a Newcastle United side who were undefeated in nine matches across all competitions.

That hat-trick meant in one appearance at St James’ Park he trebled the goal total at the stadium of his legendary father Patrick, a former UEFA Champions League winner who played at Newcastle for one season in 2004/05.

Kluivert then ended the month with a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest, ending their opponents’ eight-match unbeaten run in the Premier League.
Kluivert becomes just the second Bournemouth player to win a Player of the Month award, after Dominic Solanke back in December 2023.

Bournemouth have won a January awards treble, with head coach Andoni Iraola being named the Barclays Manager of the Month and David Brooks winning the Guinness Goal of the Month, which Kluivert also had two goals nominated for.
