Ghana’s Parliament has approved the nomination of Kofi Adams as Minister of Sports and Recreation.
The Member of Parliament for the Buem Constituency was subjected to a vetting process by the Appointments Committee where he outlined financing for the sector and helping to develop under funded sports as priority.
He is expected to be sworn in by President John Dramani Mahama along with a number of newly approved nominees to enable him to officially begin work.
He takes over the sector from Mustapha Ussif who was in charge from 2021 – 2025.
