Spanish La Liga side Real Valladolid have sacked head coach Diego Cocca and are set to name a replacement after Cocca’s dismissal was made official on Tuesday, February 18.
His dismissal comes after the Argentine handled Valladolid for just eight games in the league; at the time of his sacking, Valladolid rank bottom of the 20 team league standings.
His final game in charge of Valladolid as head coach was in a 4-0 loss against Sevilla at home; Rayo Vallecano beat Valladolid 1-0 in the immediate prior game.
Cocca’s sacking means Ghana defender Joseph Aidoo is set to play under his third head coach in the 2024-2025 La Liga season.
Aidoo commenced the campaign at Celta Vigo under Claudio Giraldez before joining Valladolid on loan for the rest of the season.

Aidoo played two La Liga games under Cocca and is set to play under his third head coach for the season with Valladolid interested in Real Madrid legend Guti as its next possible head coach.
