Bankroller of Elmina Sharks Football Club, Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum, has reacted strongly to news of Kelvin Aboagye’s arrest in connection to the attack of a referee during Elmina Sharks Access Bank Division One league game against Swedru All Blacks.
Aboagye, who is the General Manager of Elmina Sharks, was arrested on Monday, February 17 as a suspect who played a role in the attack on referee Eso Doh Morrison after the heated game ended in a 1-0 win for All Blacks.
In a video widely circulated on social media platforms, some players and officials of Sharks were captured attacking referee Morrison apparently over what they deemed as unfair and biased officiating calls.
In a strong worded statement delivered on his Facebook page, Dr. Ndoum delivered a scathing reaction to the arrest of Kelvin Aboagye and took a swipe at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) stating,

“If this is how the GFA and the Police want to handle this matter, we can play the game also” and added “As for the GFA, they shouldn’t try at all…Is this how we bring back the love for football? Clueless!”
