Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member, Frederick Acheampong, has criticized Minister of Sports and Recreation Kofi Adams.

The long tenured football administrator chastized the Minister for granting too many interviews since his appointment to replace Mustapha Ussif.

He said this when he made an appearance on Kessben TV while discussing issues stemming from hooliganism in the Ghana Premier League that has prompted the GFA to meet with several stakeholders including the Inspector General of Police and Sports Minister Kofi Adams.

After meeting the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, over the death of Kotoko fan, Francis Yaw “Pooley” Frimpong during a league game between Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC, Sports Minister Kofi Adams stated that there is a need for a reset in Ghana football and Frederick Acheampong indicated that the Minister is doing more talking than working. “I think it would have been better if he had taken his time. I personally believe that the interviews have become too many. Has he visited the NSA (National Sports Authority)? No. Has he visited the Winneba Sports College? No. The Ministry (Sports) is so big but it looks like he will be focused only on football.”

“What has he done? Nothing but we have seen him grant different interviews” Frederick Acheampong added.
