Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has stated that the technical team of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars, has assured him of wins in the upcoming FIFA games.
Ghana plays against Chad and Madagascar on Friday, March 21 and Monday, March 24 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Ghana’s game against Chad will be held at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars head into the qualifiers under immense pressure after failing to qualify to the 2025 AFCON in Morocco with Ghana failing to win a game in six qualification outings.
After the embarrassing AFCON campaign, former AFCON winner, Winfried Schafer, veteran sports psychologist, Kris Perquy, and Ghana Under-20 Men’s Football Team head coach Desmond Offei, have been added to the technical department.
Speaking on the technical team led by head coach Otto Addo after visiting the Black Stars training session, Kofi Adams, communicated what he picked up from his chat with the group.

“The technical team have also assured me that they are doing everything possible…to make sure that these two games that we have, we win them and come with maximum points of six.”

Ghana is second in Group I but is tied on points (nine) with group leaders Comoros. Scroll down to watch videos of Black Stars training session.
