Reading Time: 2 mins read

Guinness Ghana, the official beer partner of the English Premier League, successfully hosted a public viewing of the Premier League Trophy at the Pitstop Bar and Restaurant in Labone.

Football fans from all across the country gathered for the Guinness PL Trophy Tour, where they had the opportunity to take exclusive photos with the trophy, all while enjoying dancing and great cheer.

The trophy is set to return to the UK today, March 17, 2025.

Some fans who spoke to Citi News expressed their delight at having seen the trophy for the “greatest league” in the world.

The first match saw Chelsea take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, with the Gunners eventually winning the game 1-0. The second big game of the day featured 15th-placed Manchester United facing the struggling Leicester City.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the Guinness PL Trophy Tour, Sabina Manu, Head of Marketing at Guinness Ghana Limited, expressed her appreciation to all the football lovers who attended the event at Pitstop Bar.

According to her, the PL Trophy Tour is part of Guinness’ initiative to bring the Premier League trophy closer to Ghanaian football fans.

The Premier League trophy arrived in Accra on March 15, 2025, as part of this weekend’s Guinness Ghana Premier League Trophy Tour of Accra.

The magnificent piece of silver, measuring 3ft 5in (104cm) and 2ft (61cm), was displayed at a press conference held at the Marriott International Hotel on Friday night.

Ghana’s assistant coach John Paintsil and former Black Stars defender, John Mensah were the special guests of honour at the press conference, which also featured officials from Guinness Ghana, including Marketing Director, Estella Muzito, and Marketing Manager, Sabina Manu.
