Black Stars forward Inaki Williams has reacted after ending his goal drought for Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team after promising to do so.

In the lead up to Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Chad, the Athletic Bilbao forward promised to end a goal drought that stretched back to November 2023 that had him score his debut goal for Ghana in a 1-0 win over Madagascar.

Against Chad in the World Cup qualifier played on Friday, March 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium, Inaki Williams scored in Ghana’s 5-0 win that sent the Black Stars to the summit of Group I. Ghana take on Madagascar in another World Cup qualifier on Monday, March 24.

The 30 year old forward scored his second goal for Ghana with a header in the 32nd minute off a Kingsley Schindler cross to give Ghana a 2-0 lead. Williams’ debut goal also came via a headed effort.
