Medeama Sporting Club head coach Ibrahim Tanko has called on his team to do a better job defensively to avoid conceding goals and missing out on wins.

He said this in a pre-game interview as Medeama prepare to take on Aduana Stars in Week 21 of the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season on Sunday, March 23 at Medeama’s TNA Stadium.

Heading into the contest, Medeama have lost two games in a row with both losses coming via a 2-1 result to Nations FC and FC Samartex away from home.

Speaking on the upcoming clash, Ibrahim Tanko was happy that his side scored in both losses but wasn’t impressed about his team’s rate of concession.

“When you look at these two matches that we lost, we did very well in terms of playing. We scored in both games but unfortunately we also conceded in both games. We have to defend well…so that we keep a clean sheet to win a game” Tanko said.

Medeama rank seventh in the league standings while Aduana rank 10th and are riding on a two game winning streak.
