After picking up the head coaching role at Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club recently after the firing of Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, Abdul Karim Zito, has stated that the adaptation process to his regime will take time.

He said this after Kotoko picked up its debut win over Aduana Stars under Zito via a 1-0 result at the Baba Yara Stadium; prior to the win, Kotoko were winless in four straight games.

Zito returned to Kotoko as a head coach after leading Dreams FC to the CFA Confederations Cup semifinals last season and the veteran trainer believes that the time is needed for his new team to adapt to his system.

“Adaptation takes time, adaptation is not an easy thing. They’ve been used to the previous coach’s system…I don’t want to infuse a lot of things in them-the players-I make it simple for them because I’m yet to even know their names” Zito said in a post-game interview.
