Ghana center Nathan Mensah has parted ways with Greek Basketball side Olympiacos after a brief albeit frustrating period with the Greek giants.
The 27 year old player has since signed for Israeli club Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv on a deal that is set to run till the close of the season.
With Olympiacos, the Accra-born Mensah, who graduated from San Diego State University, played just two games in the EuroLeague; he made brief appearances against German side Bayern Munich and Lithuanian side Zalgiris.
In the Greek League, he averaged 5.1 points and 4.0 rebounds in six games; Olympiacos topped the EuroLeague standings to qualify to the quarterfinals. Maccabi finished 16th in the 18 team league standings after regular season.
After coming up short in the US National Men’s College Basketball Final with San Diego State University, Mensah has played in the NBA Gatorade League for Austin Spurs (affiliated to San Antonio Spurs) and Greensboro Swarm (affiliated to the Charlotte Hornets).

In 25 games in the NBA with Charlotte Hornets, the 6 foot 10 inch Mensah averaged 1.3 points, 2.6 rebounds in 12.3 minutes in the 2023-2024 season. Mensah went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft.
