Recently appointed Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, strongly believes that his team’s much needed win over Aduana Stars will energize the unit to end the season on a strong note.
He said this in a post-game interview after Kotoko beat Aduana Stars 1-0 thanks to a Kwame Poku strike in the 25th minute. Prior to the win, Kotoko were winless in four straight league games. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
Losses to league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars and second ranked team, Nations FC, means that Kotoko trail Gold Stars by just three points and this development has underlined Karim Zito’s belief.
“I am very happy about this game. After the previous three matches, that were very poor, today we had the opportunity to make amends so this win will energize us for the rest of the games” Karim Zito said.

Veteran coach Karim Zito left Dreams FC to pick up the head coaching role at Kotoko after Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum was sacked.
