Medeama SC head coach, Ibrahim Tanko, says he isn’t surprised about right full back Kamaradini Mamudu’s nose for goal after seeing him score twice in Medeama’s 3-0 win over Young Apostles in the Ghana Premier League.
Mamudu scored in the 18th and 26th minute respectively with left full back Fatawu Sulemana scoring Medeama’s third in the 36th minute.
Mamudu’s brace comes in the wake of his call up to Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team for 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification wins against Chad and Madagascar.
Speaking in his post-game interview, Tanko was satisfied with the performance of his full backs especially with their offensive output.
“I don’t think strikers are the only ones responsible to get goals looking at the way we play. When you look at the movement of our right and left backs, when in possession, they operate as midfielders so I’m not surprised they are getting chances to score goals.”

“I believe it’s a good thing for the team if the strikers aren’t scoring but players in other departments are scoring” Tanko said.
