The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has been greenlit by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to offer Licence “A” Coaching Courses in Ghana, aligning with CAF’s updated coaching framework.
This approval, a key achievement for the GFA Technical Directorate, follows extensive preparation and curriculum updates.
Set to take place at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, the CAF A Licence program will cap each session at 20 participants. Eligible candidates need a CAF B Licence with two years’ experience, proof of active coaching, club documentation, and a personal motivation statement. Preference goes to full-time coaches from Ghana’s top leagues, regional associations, and national teams, with final selections made after interviews.
The year-long course features four residential modules, a 120-day internship, and dives into advanced topics like tactics, game analysis, positional coaching, and player management—equipping coaches for senior roles and future CAF Pro License eligibility.
