Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, says it is out of character for his club to concede five goals in two games.

He said this in a post-game interview after Kotoko lost 2-0 to city rivals Nations FC at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Stadium in the Ghana Premier League.

The loss came on the back of the Porcupine Warriors suffering a 3-0 loss to Accra Lions; Kotoko are winless in their last four league games.

Seeing his team concede five combined goals across two goals prompted Dr. Ogum to describe the situation as uncharacteristic.

“I think conceding five goals is uncharacteristic of us. If you look at our previous performance and the record we have in terms of our defensive network, we have a very solid defense” Dr. Ogum said.

Losing to Nations FC means that Kotoko have dropped to fourth place from third; Kotoko are tied on 47 points with third placed team Kpando Heart of Lions but trail the latter on goal difference.
