GFA President Kurt Okraku

Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Okraku, has communicated a wish he would love to achieve in his capacity as leader of Ghana football.

The high profile football administrator stated in an interview with Original FM that he wants to be remembered as an honest leader when his time in office is done.

Kurt Okraku was recently named as CAF 2nd Vice President and in a subsequent move he stepped from his role as President of the WAFU (West African Football Union) B to concentrate on his work at CAF and as GFA President.

“I stepped from my position as WAFU Zone B President so I can concentrate more on Ghana and CAF. My intention is to serve and fully utilize the opportunity that I’ve been given. When I am done and gone, I want to be remembered as an honest leader” he said.

Kurt Okraku is serving in his second term as GFA President but his time has been rocked by a major dip in performance of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team-the Black Stars- at the AFCON though the team qualified to compete in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and Ghana is in pole position to qualify to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
