Head coach of Nations Football Club, Kasim Ocansey Mingle, says Nations FC defender Razak Simpson, proved his worth as a captain in the team’s win over Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club.

He said this in a post-game interview after Nations beat Hearts 1-0 courtesy a wonderful long range strike from Simpson that beat Simpson’s Black Stars teammate Benjamin Asare in goal for the Phobians.

Simpson returned to Nations FC after featuring in Ghana’s 3-0 win over Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The win put Ghana in first place in Group I.

Falling short on words to use to describe the goal, Kasim Mingle commended Simpson’s leadership as a worthy one.

“I don’t know how to describe the goal. The strike was very very beautiful. I congratulate him; as a captain, leader of the side, he has proved his worth.”
