Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club have reignited their contention for a top four finish after registering its latest win in the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season.

Hearts beat Accra Lions 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium to move within two points of fourth ranked Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The Phobians have 52 points from 14 wins, 10 wins and eight assists in 32 league games; with the exception of Lions and Hearts, the remaining teams in the league have played 31 games ahead of a heavy round of games on Sunday, May 25.

On the other hand, Lions latest loss keeps them in 16th place in the 18 team league standings tied on 35 points with 15th ranked Karela United who take on 14th ranked Vision FC on Sunday.

Hearts of Oak grabbed the opening goal through an Enock Asubonteng strike in the 11th minute that Lions goalkeeper Daniel Afful should have done better to keep out of the net.
