Nations Football Club Brands Manager Nana Boakye Ansah, has stated that competing in the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season was a learning curve the Kumasi based team learnt as it inches closer to winning the top division for the first time.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports with Nations leading the Ghana League standings with 54 points from 30 games.
Nations have scored a six wins in seven games to move to the apex of the league standings ahead of heavily tipped contenders Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Nations FC had a similar run last season but fizzled out to finish seventh in the campaign and the team’s Brands Manager believes that Nations are in a better place since last season was a learning curve.
“Last season was just a learning curve for us. Last season, we had just come up from Division One and we needed to bide our time. If we had won the league last season, it would have been a bonus for us. For this season, I will say that we have learnt our lessons, we’ve put in place the right mechanisms.”

“Whatever happened last season is something that we’ve put behind us. We have the capacity, we have the players, we have the strategies to be able to lift the Ghana Premier League.”
