Ghana forward Inaki Williams won’t compete in Athletic Bilbao’s UEFA Europa League semifinals second leg clash against Manchester United.
Inaki and his younger brother Nico, will miss the important clash with the older Williams picking up a muscle injury earlier this week and the news getting confirmed via Bilbao’s travelling contingent to Manchester.
Bilbao trail the contest 3-0 on aggregate after suffering a big first leg defeat at home that had Williams play 87 minutes.
Missing out on Thursday, May 8’s clash means that Inaki Williams won’t get the chance to immediately improve his numbers for the 2024-2025 season.
The 30 year old has 11 goals and nine assists in 48 games in all competitions with five goals and an assist coming in 12 Europa League games this season.
Bilbao are attempting to overturn the big deficit and qualify to compete in the Europa League Finals that will be hosted at its San Memes home venue.
