Accra Hearts of Oak assistant head coach, Nana Yaw Amankwah, has stated that despite the club’s inability to beat big rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko, his side was happy to avoid conceding to the Porcupine Warriors.
Hearts drew goalless with Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium in the standout Ghana Premier League fixture this weekend.
While the game largely underwhelmed and Hearts failed to end what is now a five game winless streak against its great rivals, Nana Yaw Amankwah was satisfied with his club not conceding.
“We are very happy, not [with] the scoreline, we are very happy we didn’t concede. We decided to get the best out of this game and we didn’t get the best so we will take it like that…it wasn’t a bad game” Amankwah said.

Hearts’ draw with Kotoko means that the Phobian club sit sixth in the league standings with 46 points and are eight points off leaders Nations FC with four games left to play in the campaign. Scroll down to watch Nana Yaw Amankwah’s interview.
