Well renowned Ghanaian political strategist and Arsenal Football Club fan, Gabby Otchere-Darko has slammed the London club over its treatment of Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey as reports heavily link Partey with a move from Arsenal.

Otchere-Darko in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) page also swiped aside the notion that Thomas Partey’s seemingly impending departure from Arsenal as a free agent is down to the Black Stars deputy captain’s financial demands.

Partey’s representatives and Arsenal have been negotiating for a while over a new deal as his current deal comes to an end on June 30.

Italian football insider Fabrizio Romano reported earlier in the week that the parties are not on the same page and Partey is set to leave as a free agent after June.

This situation looks almost certain as Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard has been ordered to undergo a medical at Arsenal after the Gunners agreed a 10 Million pound deal with five million in add-ons for the Danish player.

“The Thomas Partey I know he has not left Arsenal because of more money…The club does not give him the respect he deserves” Otchere-Darko wrote on his X page.

The Thomas Partey I know he has not left Arsenal because of more money. It is more because of disrespect. The club knew when his contract was expiring but was more interested in finding a replacement than courting him to stay. His preference would have been to stay in London… pic.twitter.com/gUclVyTPra
