Former Ghana Premier League champions AshantiGold SC are back in the spotlight as they lead a competitive pack of 16 clubs confirmed for the 2025/26 Access Bank Division One League Zone Two.
The Miners bought Bekwai Heroes and changed its name to AshantiGold, intending to reclaim their lost glory in what promises to be one of the hottestly contested seasons in recent memory.
Their comeback coincides with the completion of the Zone Two lineup following Police National FC’s qualification on Wednesday, 25th June 2025, after winning the Central Regional Division Two Middle League final against Fettehman United.

The Ashanti Region will be the most represented with six (6) clubs: Ashgold, King Faisal, New Edubiase United, Kwamo Future Stars, Ebony FC, and Pac Academy Football Club. Western and Central Regions follow with five (5) clubs each.
