Hohoe United Chief Executive Officer, Edem Ansah, has pinned the hopes of making the Ghana Premier League (GPL) better on clubs competing in the top flight division.

He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports after the club’s official qualification from the Access Bank Division One Zone Three to the GPL was confirmed.

His comments come at a time where the just concluded GPL was rife with controversial issues including Nations FC abandoning its penultimate league game against Basake Holy Stars and the stabbing and subsequent death of Kumasi Asante Kotoko fan Francis “Pooley” Frimpong during a league tie against Nsoatreman.

“All of us will have to take the initiative to leave the football better than where it was where we came to meet it and to this end, it is the responsibility of the clubs. Nobody else can help but the clubs. When we see ourselves as corporate entities with clearly stated goals, then we know there are steps to be taken to get the desired outcomes that we want to get” he said and added that

“There are challenges but you just have to focus on your entity and do the right thing. I can say that Hohoe will do the very best.”
