Co-Founder of Spintex Knights Basketball Club, Dr. Eric Opoku-Antwi, has described Ghanaian-British former Basketball player Matthew Osei Bryan-Amaning’s interaction with the team as a “nice experience”.
The former University of Washington basketball player Bryan-Amaning, visited the Spintex Knights during a team training session to share his experience with the team as a 12 year veteran.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, Dr. Opoku-Antwi, who led Knights to become the first Ghanaian team to compete in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Elite 16 stage, had a positive outlook on the visit.
“I think it’s a very nice experience. Not a lot of times do we have people who have seen it, done it come around to pass on a little bit of knowledge and inspire these guys so I believe it’s a feather in the cap. The biggest thing he made us understand is that we shouldn’t give up, we should put in a lot of work because whatever we are doing, people are seeing it and it will take us far.”

Knights have won back to back Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I titles.
