Erling Haaland netted his 300th career goal as Manchester City thrashed Juventus 5–2 in Orlando to top Group G at the FIFA club world cup.

The Norwegian striker came off the bench to score from close range, taking his tally to 258 club goals and 42 for norway, while City avoided a quarter-final clash with PSG or Bayern Munich.

Jeremy Doku, Phil Foden, and Savinho also scored, with Juventus conceding a bizarre own goal through Pierre Kalulu. Dusan Vlahovic grabbed a late consolation.

Among the standout performers was Rodri, who marked his first start since September with a composed 65-minute display, completing 71 passes and reasserting his control in midfield.

Matheus Nunes, operating again as a makeshift right-back, played a key role in two goals, while Rayan Aït-Nouri impressed with his energy down the left and registered his first assist for the club.

City topped Group G with a flawless record three wins from three and crucially avoid the same half of the draw as tournament heavyweights PSG and Bayern Munich. Their next opponent could be Real Madrid, now coached by Xabi Alonso, depending on how Group H concludes.
