Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club have signed yet another player early on in this offseason after completing the transfer of centre back Zackaria Fuseini from Berekum Chelsea.

The 27 year old joins Kotoko despite Chelsea finishing in a disappointing 12th position in the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season. Chelsea made it to the semifinals of the MTN FA Cup.

Fuseini is the second Chelsea player to join Kotoko in this transfer window after midfielder Hubert Gyau announced his move to the Porcupine Warriors earlier in the week.

Speaking for the first time since his move, Fuseini relished the opportunity to play for the two time African champions stating,

“My focus is to win laurels with the club and to work hard for a place in the Black Stars, because I know I’m good enough. Some say this move is a few years late, but I don’t believe that. I’m arriving mature and experienced, and I’m ready to handle the pressure that comes with playing for such a big club.”

Kotoko won the MTN FA Cup and will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
