The official 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League (GPL) standings have been amended in the wake of the Ghana Football Association (GFA)’s ruling regarding Nations Football Club’s decision to abandon a GPL tie against Basake Holy Stars.
Nations FC abandoned the contest while trailing 1-0 and the GFA Disciplinary Committee punished the Kumasi based team for breaching Article 33 (1)(b) of the GFA regulations.
As a result of the Disciplinary Committee’s ruling, Basake Holy Stars got awarded three points while Nations FC got three points deducted from its point tally (60) to slip from second place to fifth in the league standings.
In the latest ruling by the GFA Disciplinary Committee, three players from Nations FC who were allegedly involved in the melee in the game against Basake have been charged.

Rabin Ousmane Sanon, Kofi Mensah and Emmanuel Annor of Nations FC have been charged for breaching GFA Disciplinary Code (2019) and Ghana Premier League Regulations (2019) in relation to their conduct against Basake.

Per a release by the GFA, Rabin Sanon and Kofi Mensah allegedly assaulted match officials while Kofi Mensah and Emmanuel Annor damaged parts of the tunnel that leads to the dressing room at the Ampain A.A.K. II Park.
