Tennis coach Roger Smith has touched down in Ghana to headline a series of tennis clinics with the aim of promoting tennis development and youth development in Ghana and the former ATP Top 100 player has stated that he is passionate about building coaches and players.
He said this in a presser prior to leading a coaching seminar and clinic with young players put together by Africa10 Foundation (A10) and the Ghana Tennis Federation.
Former United States Tennis Association President Katrina Adams is working with Smith on the tennis program that runs from June 21 to June 24 in Ghana.
Speaking at the presser in the presence of A10 Chairperson Shanti Annan, Ghana Tennis Federation President Isaac Duah and International Tennis Federation representative Amine Ben Makhlouf, Smith, who coached 2017 US Open Champion Sloane Stephens from 2009 to 2012, said,

“Building has always been a passion of mine…Hopefully we can leave these coaches and the Federation with some great experience.”
