Channel One TV and Citi FM have officially endorsed the 2025 Homowo Cup, pledging full support for the annual football spectacle scheduled for Sunday, August 17, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Homowo Cup is a major highlight of the Homowo festival, which celebrates Ga heritage and unity across the Greater Accra Region. Organizers say this year’s edition will focus not just on football rivalry, but also on peacebuilding, community growth, and cultural pride.

Managing Director of Citi FM and Channel One TV, Samuel Atta Mensah, urged the public to show up in large numbers.

“Homowo Cup, 17th of August is a Sunday; let’s all make it there. We will make merry and chant morale songs for the two teams.”

Event organizer Samuel Anim Addo expressed gratitude for the media partnership:

“It’s a great honour to have my boss Sammens endorsing the Homowo Cup. The fact that Citi FM and Channel One will broadcast it live is huge. We are truly grateful.”
