Chief of Staff Hon. Julius Debrah is redefining public service and national development with his transformative wellness initiative, “Walk With Julius.”

The most recent edition, held on Saturday, July 19 at Trassaco Phase 2, brought together an influential mix of Ghana’s top sports journalists, policymakers, and public figures—reinforcing the powerful message that national health is national wealth.

Among the high-profile participants were:

  • Mr. Samson Deen, President of the Ghana Paralympic Committee

  • Charles Kwabla Akonnor, former Black Stars coach

  • Dan Kwaku Yeboah, veteran sports journalist

  • King Eben, renowned sports broadcaster from Kumasi

  • A distinguished team from Joy Sports, including Nathaniel Attoh, Fentuo Tahiru, and Dr. Frank Owusu Ansah of Kessben TV/FM

Together with Hon. Debrah, these prominent figures walked several kilometres, combining fitness with public advocacy, media engagement, and a unifying call to action for national wellness.

“A strong nation begins with a healthy people. When we walk together, we build endurance, unity, awareness—and ultimately a better future,”

“Walk With Julius” is more than a fitness campaign; it is a growing national movement. Rooted in the belief that regular physical activity can reduce preventable illnesses, improve quality of life, and lower healthcare costs, the initiative is now set for a nationwide rollout.

“If every Ghanaian walked just 15 kilometers a week, we wouldn’t only feel better—we’d save millions in national healthcare expenditure,”

Beyond health, Hon. Julius Debrah is also advancing youth enterprise and business diplomacy.

From the Kwahu Business Summit to the Ghana–China Investment Forum and various grassroots initiatives, he remains the only Chief of Staff in Ghana’s Fourth Republic to blend wellness, policy, and entrepreneurship into a unified national development agenda.

The Trassaco walk symbolised more than physical exercise—it reflected shared responsibility. Civil servants, media professionals, sports icons, and everyday citizens stood side-by-side in support of a healthier, more united Ghana.
