Team Ghana has missed out on competing for a gold medal at this year’s African School Games 3×3 Basketball Men’s Competition.

Ghana lost 16-19 to The Gambia in the semifinals of the competition that is taking place under the auspices of the African National Olympics Committee (ANOCA).

The West African showdown had Ghana battle hard only to miss out on progressing to the finals in the first edition of the competition that is taking place in Algeria.

Prior to losing to The Gambia, Ghana had secured a 13-7 win over Uganda and clinched an 18-9 win over South Sudan in the quarterfinals.

Members of Team Ghana were selected from standout performers from the Hoop Rave competition organized earlier this year eligible to Senior High School students.
