Manchester United have submitted a third and improved bid for Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo, with the deal potentially rising to £70 million according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The latest offer includes an initial £65 million fee plus £5 million in performance-based add-ons. Brentford are yet to officially respond.
United are keen to wrap up the signing of the Cameroon international before flying to the United States on Tuesday for their pre-season tour.
Mbeumo, who bagged 20 goals in the Premier League last season, is seen as a priority for new manager Ruben Amorim.

The 25-year-old has drawn interest from several clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, now coached by former Brentford boss Thomas Frank. However, Mbeumo is said to favor a move to Old Trafford.
United’s pursuit of attacking reinforcements comes on the back of a poor goal return last season ; just 44 goals in the league, their lowest tally since being relegated in the 1973-74 campaign
Mbeumo’s arrival could see Bruno Fernandes operate in a deeper midfield role, with new signing Matheus Cunha expected to play in one of the attacking slots behind the striker in Amorim’s preferred system.

The move is also likely to keep out-of-favour attackers Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Alejandro Garnacho on the fringes, as none of the quartet are currently in Amorim’s plans.
United have already added Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha and defender Diego Leon to their squad this summer.
They kick off the 2025/26 Premier League season against Arsenal at Old Trafford on August 17.
