Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United for £55 million, subject to a work permit. He signs a six-year contract that runs until 2031.

The 24-year-old had an £85 million release clause, but Spurs secured his services after an improved offer, following West Ham’s rejection of an initial £50 million bid.

Kudus made 65 Premier League appearances for the Hammers, scoring 13 goals and providing nine assists. He joined West Ham in August 2023 from Ajax for £38 million and made an immediate impact in both domestic and European competitions, finishing his debut season with 14 goals and 9 assists in all competitions.

Speaking to the club’s media, Kudus said:

“I’ve always wanted to play at the highest level. How big the club is, the history, and the Champions League; it’s a big moment. I’m very happy and can’t wait to start.
