New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer aspirant, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has clarified issues regarding the ownership of the Nkawkaw Sports Stadium that is getting a facelift with Dr. Acheampong leading the charge.

The stadium is undergoing construction after several years of neglect and in a press briefing after touring the facility, the Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency stated that the sports edifice belongs to the Government of Ghana through the National Sports Authority (NSA).

Dr. Bryan Acheampong is funding [per reports gathered] the rehabilitation of the edifice that he believes will serve not just sports clubs in the area but high schools too and made it clear that the stadium belongs to the NSA.

“I must reiterate that this project is not a personal project. I am only supporting in the community through the NSA to build it. It belongs to the government; it doesn’t belong to any individual including myself. This is a Government of Ghana project and the name of the project is Nkawkaw Sports Stadium.”
