Black Stars forward Inaki Williams has reacted to the surprising news of Nico Williams’ decision to ditch a move to Barcelona and extend his stay at Athletic Bilbao.
Nico, the younger brother of Inaki, announced his decision to sign a 10 year deal to stay at Bilbao and in the process, ended a protracted reported transfer to FC Barcelona.
Writing on his X (formerly Twitter) page, the 30 year old player for Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team Inaki Williams, who doubles as the captain for Bilbao, sounded excited about Nico’s decision.
“Respect, Legacy and Achievement. Athletic Win” Inaki Williams wrote on the above mentioned social media platform when news broke of Nico Williams’ seismic extension.

Nico Williams, 22 years old, is regarded as one of the highly rated wingers in football and recently starred in Spain’s 2024 European Championship triumph.

The Williams brothers are of Ghanaian descent who were born in Spain but Inaki opted to play for Ghana and featured in Ghana’s campaign in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Respeto, Legado y Logros.
