Chief Executive Officer of French Ligue 1 club OGC Nice, Fabrice Boquet, has boldly stated that Ghana midfielder Abdul Salis Samed will be back in form after a testing couple of seasons.

Bocquet, who is set to serve in another role as President of OGC Nice from August 20, made this comment in an interview after the club announced the signing of the 25 year old Black Stars player.

Samed signed a three year deal after completing his move from RC Lens where he was one of the most sought after players in the French League but has dealt with injuries and poor form over the past two seasons leading to his exit.

Prior to his departure from Lens, Samed played for English side AFC Sunderland and helped the club qualify to the English Premier League.

After completing the move to Nice, Samed said he was happy to reunite with Franck Haise, who served as Lens coach prior to Samed’s downturn in form and Bocquet sounded confident that the reunion would get Samed back to producing his best. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“He meets the coach’s expectations. Salis and Franck (Haise) know each other very well, which will make it easier for him to integrate, because each knows how the other works and what the other expects. He is an international who has also played in the Champions League. After a more difficult last season, we think he’ll be able to bounce back under Franck Haise” Boquet said.
