Italian Side AC Milan have officially backed out of their move for Nigerian striker Victor Boniface after the forward failed his medical examination.

According to reports, Milan’s medical team raised concerns during the assessment, leading the club to halt the transfer despite initial progress in negotiations.

The decision comes as a major twist in the summer mercato, with Boniface having been strongly linked to strengthening Milan’s attacking options ahead of the new season.

It remains to be seen whether the Bayer Leverkusen forward will attract fresh interest from other European clubs after the collapse of his proposed switch to San Siro.
