English Premier League side Chelsea FC have been handed a very tough challenge in the preliminary stage of the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League season.
Chelsea, who won the FIFA Club World Cup in the offseason thanks to a 3-0 win over French side Paris Saint-Germain, will play against German giants Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona.
Beyond taking on PSG who won all titles but the FIFA Club World Cup in the 2024-2025 season, Barcelona will also play against EPL contenders Newcastle United.
The draw was conducted on Thursday, August 28 with the Basque club taking on Club Brugge (Belgium), FC Copenhagen (Denmark), Olympiakos (Greece), Eintracht Frankfurt (Germany) and Slavia Prague (Czech Republic)
