Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones is in awe of Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku’s brilliant goal that should go down as one of the best in the 2025-2026 EFL Championship campaign.

Issahaku scored the only goal in Leicester City’s 1-0 win over Charlton away from in an EFL Championship game that took place on Saturday, August 23.

The Black Stars player delivered the latest glimpse of he getting back to his best form after dealing with an extensive absence due to an ACL injury.

Issahaku moved the ball infield from the right side and fired a bullet into the top corner of the net for what turned out to be the winning goal for the Foxes and Nathan Jones had nothing but praise for the former Sporting Lisbon player.

“He’ll end up in the Premier League in a week’s time. That was the only difference. It took a one-in-a million strike to win the game for them from 30 yards” Jones said.
